Hydrogen as a Fuel Source- Taking Renewable Energy Beyond the Grid

Solar Oregon is excited to host Ken Dragoon, Executive Director of Oregon’s own Renewable Hydrogen Alliance for a talk on Hydrogen as a clean fuel source. Imagine a technology that can: Boost the value of solar generated power; Use solar electricity to reduce carbon emissions in heating, transportation, and manufacturing sectors; Provide gigawatt-scale balancing services to electric grids; Solve the riddle of seasonal renewable electricity storage; and Expand the market for renewable resources by factors of two to four, potentially with little or no new transmission capacity. Too good to be true? Ken will explain how creating fuels with renewable electricity can, and will do all these things. This is not your father’s hydrogen economy, it’s real and it’s now. Preview his talk with this 15 minute interview on KXRY from April 24.
