      Bat Chat at Wapato Greenway

      Sign up for a free night hike led by a trained naturalist to experience the bats of Wapato State Greenway on Sauvie Island. We will talk about our local bat species and the amazing adaptations that allow them to survive while we walk through the park, ending at the viewing platform. Once at the platform, we will watch bats and listen to echolocating bats with the Bat Detector. Parents must accompany children on all hikes. Directions: To reach Wapato Greenway parking lot travel from the bridge onto Sauvie Island, continue north on Sauvie Island Road, past the intersection with Reeder Rd, past Ferry Road boat ramp turnoff, to the marked parking lot on the left.
