      Japanese Calligraphy as Meditation You will... feel freedom, experience oneness and flow with your brush, encounter your artistic self, be able to meditate without sitting still, discover your inner self, have fun! Tools, materials, and tea are included! Remember to wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on. Instructor Eri Luman Eri Luman is a Japanese artist living in Portland. She has been practicing calligraphy since she was a child. In 2007, she had the profound experience of being infused with energy and becoming one with the brush stroke. It was then that she was struck with the idea that “calligraphy is meditation”. She began teaching meditation art after her initial demonstration at the Portland Japanese Garden. Street parking in the neighborhood is free on the weekends. What can I bring into the event? Wear clothing that you don't mind getting paint on!
